Bredonborough.
Rising at 07.00 and to the surgery for a health check-up. The Minx is insistent in this regard: a Discourager Of Hesitancy.

10.28 … and e-flurrying.
In response to a GC Lifer, also returning from The OCG VII…
we were part of the Real World for a week, and are now returned to life after The Fall.
i am torn between dismay at dealing with People In The Work and the actuality of those who are working.
the G/JGB teaching is remarkable, a rare contribution to our lives and in terms a western mind can approach.
and gets processed in the same way that we process all mundane trivia.
no wonder poor C suffers at the … meetings, with its wittering on about Silence.
something like, when we speak of the Work, it is not the Work.
the Silence that visits GC cannot be unique, but we seem to be especially favoured.
almost as if what GC and The OCG particularly needs to present to the world is the power of Silence.
Silence is the sound of Third Force, that which makes everything possible.
so, Silence is the sound of the Work speaking directly to us and, through us, to others.
that this is tangible, experiential, not imaginary, and walks into GC with the regularity, reliability and frequency that it does, is as close to a miracle as i can simply conceive.
The OCG is a beginning-again of the beginning of Guitar Craft, which for me was very much a new Revelation on our scale of being.
but was well beyond the capacity of those young people to properly engage.
now we are older, with the same opportunity.
my own life is a continual challenge which i meet by dealing with as much as possible of what is in front of me today, and returning to what is left undealt today, tomorrow.
nearly all the stuff of life is repercussions from unnecessary actions.
like, unnecessary talking generating inevitable consequences.
there are some things where i am the only person that can do/make happen.
and i'm getting older.
but, the good news is that the NAFGeeks are the closest to a real Group that i have experienced.
for this Group to come into existence is itself worth the entire 28 years of GC.
and after months of cold, relentless grey, the sun has begun to shine during the past few days.
hooray!
14.05 A knock on the front door: an unexpected visit from an experienced hustler, selling carpets. He was a very good hustler, but not a Master Hustler. In dealing with a Master Hustler, you don’t know you’re being hustled. The art is to conceal the art as
Mr. Maiden, (opens PDF) our English teacher at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Wimborne, used to tell us.
Lunch by the back door, and off to an afternoon of adventures.

Secondly, to St. Peter’s garden centre…

Thirdly, to an electrical shop to upgrade our hardware.
And back for supper by back door.
Now in the Cellar e-flurrying. Soon to gentle.
